Willi’s at Seven Springs will be hosting a  “Pro Sale” on Friday, September 27, 2013.

USSA racers and coaches are invited to attend.  There are discounts for alpine ski racing equipment that are available for active HVRC members.  There will be equipment reps at this sale that can answer questions.

Keep in mind that the equipment at this sale is generally race stock that is not generally available and is geared towards racers that are in the U16, U18, and U21 age groups.  HVRC coaches have always recommended that equipment for younger age groups match the individual racers’ physique.  Generally, the equipment available at the Hidden Valley ski shop is perfectly acceptable for racers in the U8-U14 age groups.  Those age groups are not bound by equipment specifications.  Race stock skis and boots in particular tend to be very stiff and are not recommended for younger racers, who would struggle with the stiffness.  Contact the HVRC coaches if you have questions.  The Pro Sale also has other race accessories that all age groups can use if sized correctly.

There is also some used equipment available.  Ralph Blasey has some race skis that he is looking to sell:

• 150 Fischer World Cup Slalom with Z11 binding . 2012 model, used one season only.  Edges are 1 degree base, 3 degrees side.  $ 425
• 175 Fischer World Cup GS (medium flex) with Z 13 binding. 2012 model, used one season only. Edges are 1 degree base, 2 degrees side. $ 425
• 150 Fischer RC4 Competition with Z11 binding. 2010 model year, used 2-3 seasons. $200. This one is more of a junior ski.
• We also have some other junior equipment (both skis & boots) that was given to the club by the Bigatel’s.  We also have a number of race cub jackets and other apparel.
