B. Baughman (U12) spent last weekend competing in the Piches Invitational at Gunstock, NH for U12 & U14 racers who earned invitations to the event. He was part of a field of 90 U12 boys. Congratulations to Blake on a 39th place finish in GS and a top 30 finish in slalom; very respectable results for his first post season event!

Hidden Valley is skiing this weekend. While the race season is over, there are still a few days of skiing. Check the HV website for operating hours. Hopefully, HVRC members will be out there enjoying each other’s company this weekend. We take this moment to thank Hidden Valley and 7 Springs for a great season; especially the snowmaking and grooming crew, who has made this possible. Finally, my personal thanks to all of you parents that helped make this another successful season for HVRC. We have achieved much and it has been your efforts that have made this happen.

Hidden Valley has announced that 2013-2014 season passes are on sale. Those racers planning to join the club next season should definitely get a season pass. Please be reminded that all racers attending HVRC practices must have a valid lift ticket or season pass. Club membership does not include lift tickets.

Those racers interested in summer ski camps should have a look at Mt Hood Summer Ski Camps. A number of HVRC racers have attended ski camps at Mt Hood. You can talk to Ralph B., Alec, Libby, or Ralph M. about their experiences with Mt Hood. By all accounts, the ski camps at Mt Hood have been quite good. Stowe Vermont is also running a dryland training camp late July / early August.
