We are going to hold an Open Cup Race as part of Spring Carnival this Saturday, March 15th at 1 PM on Imperial. All those who can help should meet Ralph at 11 AM on Saturday. Registration will be on the Bridge to the Clock Tower 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The cost is $5 per racers for two runs and as usual, the public is encouraged to race. The entry fee is applicable for club members as well.
Those carrying keys to the finish shack should turn them in to Ralph by the 15th. After teardown on the 15th, we will organize the equipment in both the finish hut and pole storage. Typically, this takes about an hour.
HVRC Board members for 2014-2015 as affirmed at parents meeting are Eric Hessinger, Doug Kreps, Antonio Castracani, Ron Baughman, and Ralph Manson. Ralph Blasey is assuming an advisors role and will represent HVRC at PARA. Chris Kukla has accepted a role to be a board advisor as well.
Those racers interested in summer ski camps should have a look at www.mthood.com . A number of HVRC racers have attended ski camps at Mt Hood. You can talk to Ralph B., Alec, Libby, or Ralph M. about their experiences with Mt Hood. By all accounts, the ski camps at Mt Hood have been quite good.
