There are times when one cannot recognize all the support that the club membership has given of themselves.  This is one of those times.  The support which the membership has given both to Race Clinic and Special Olympics has been outstanding.  This support speaks well of the club and those that have done work on behalf of it should hold their heads high.  Normally, we would call out everyone who pitched in to make both clinic and the Special Olympics  a success.   While there are many of those, we wish to thank our coaches; S. Jupena, Keith, E. Mungai, B. Hunt, Mustache Bob,  E. Hessinger, and T. Bigatel; and our lunch coordinators; D. Hessinger and K. Wiley.   

We have practice Saturday, 9:00 AM –Noon.  Coach Eric will meet racers on Imperial.  This will be a slalom based practice.  If you are able to help Eric setup and tear down, please meet him on outside old Glaciers at 8:30 AM. 

PA Cup Races 6, 7, and 8 will occur February 22-24 at Elk Mountain.  These races are limited to U18’s, U21’s, and U16’s.  On-line registration is available.  If your racer is planning to compete, registration should be completed by February 15^th.   

Our Annual Meeting and year end banquet is scheduled for Saturday, February 23^rd.  Mark your calendars if you have not already done so.   We need to know who will be attending the banquet.  Please advise Kathy (cc’d) or me how many of your family will be attending.  The banquet is set for Hops on Rt 31 at 5:30 PM.  Club  racers attend at no charge.  Parents and siblings will be charged on a rated schedule.   Our annual meeting will be at 4:30m PM.  We are expecting that two of our board members will retire.  If you are willing to become a board member please advise me within the next week.  Board members for 2013=2014 will be approved during annual meeting.   

The Wisp Classic Slalom Race is scheduled to be held at Wisp on Sunday, February 24th.  This is not a derby qualifier and includes U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, and U21.  On-line registration is available now via the DCWS website.  If your racer is planning to compete, registration should be completed by February 18^th.  The race entry fee is $35.
