We will have practice on Saturday 12/22 beginning at 9:00 AM. This practice will be GS based and will be held on Imperial. Conditions permitting, we will set a progression course; moving from the apex drill into a single gate GS. Those planning to practice should meet the coaches outside old Glaciers. The practice will run until 12:00 Noon. If you are available to help set-up, meet Ralph outside Ski Patrol at 8:40 AM.

12/26, Wednesday: Slalom based practice on either Thunderbird or Imperial
12/27, Thursday: GS based practice on Imperial; bamboo forest & apex drill
12/28, Friday: GS course on either Imperial or Comet; course inspection and race simulation
12/29, Saturday: fundamentals and drills
12/31, Monday: Slalom based practice on either Thunderbird or Imperial
Christmas Week will be quite busy for us. Several practices are scheduled and the Vector Races on the 29th are an important day for U16’s in terms of derby qualification. U16, U18, and U21 racers planning to compete in the Vector Races on Saturday, December 29th at Seven Springs should be registering this week. Remember that there are two races that day so remember to register for both races. On-line registration is available now via the WPRC website. The race entry fee is $35 for each race.
The 2nd annual Critchfield Cup Race is scheduled for January 5th on Imperial. This race is open to the public so anyone can join in the fun. Trophies are planned to be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. There are nine age categories including 21-35 and 36 and older for both male and female. This race is not included in club membership and requires advance signup by January 1st to guarantee your racer receives a t-shirt. The event fee is $20 per racer. Racers may sign up at Customer Service beginning Saturday, December 22nd or by sending me an email. If you are not a club member, please sign and include the attached release with your entry. We also need to know the t-shirt size of each racer so please include that info.

The Center Ski Tools GS Race is scheduled to be held at 7 Springs on Sunday, January 6th. This is a derby qualifier for U10, U12, U14, and U16. U18 and U21 entries are also welcome, but we expect this will be a non-scored race. On-line registration is available now via the WPRC website. If your racer is planning to compete, registration should be completed by January 2nd. The race entry fee is $35. U10 entry spots may be limited for this race.
